I was
drunk
And I said
no
You were
sober
And you said
yes
I was drunk
when you
held me
down to the
ground
and stole it
from me
why did you?
i think that
i should forgive
you
and then i think
that i should
forgive
me.
i find both
you
and
me
to be
unforgivable.
unbelievable.
and most of all
i find both you
and me
to be
unredeemable.
Done.
The final tally of the semester?
1 A, 2 Bs, 1 C, 1 D.
Not bad, not bad.
Excuse me while I go keel over.
Back tomorrow.
One more….
Don’t stop now! Just one more to go!
Is your head all full?
Is there more you could know?
Keep on readin’ and writin’
Even when you think it’s bull
Don’t stop now
You’ll take your last bow
So don’t have a cow
When there’s one more to go
And there’s no more Spanish
You could possibly know.
Thank you, thank you. I’m quite the poet.
Last exam, tomorrow at 8am. If you’re of the praying sort, please do pray for me!
xoxo,

Mmm, a day off. How decadent.
6am. Awake. The room smells fresh, because I slept with my window open. It’s a nice, cool temperature. Sigh, roll over. Go back to sleep.
10am. Open one eye. Ponder. Go back to sleep.
11am. Wake up for good.
11:10. Toast three eggo waffles.
11:30. Decide to forgo shower. Sexy!
11:45. Go to polling place. Discover it’s wrong!
11:52. Dude, I am so lost.
12:10. Arrive at new polling place.
12:15. Vote for Obama!
2:00. Buy two dresses for $7.50 each at Target.*
2:30. Browse other various and sundry places of commerce.
3:30. Arrive home.
5:30. Eat dinner.
6:30. Drive to Target again, to return something.
6:40. Honk and scream happily at two Obama volunteers holding up signs at a random polling place I pass.
6:45. Grin and chant “OBAAAAMA, OBAAAMAA” to myself in my car.
6:55. Stop chanting.
7:30. Return to Raleigh.
8:30. Watch Sound of Music.
11:00. Write this post.
11:59. Start Presentation due Wednesday.
Excellent. Excellent day.
*I refuse to call Target “Tar-jay”. It’s Target, people. Period. Seriously.
New look, take two!
Here we go. I like it better. It’s sunnier, more excited. A free spirit. Ready for summer.
Like me!
One presentation left.
One exam left.
Done on Thursday. Praise the Lord!
Voice of Truth
This month’s National Blog Posting Month theme is “Voice”. So, since I’m still so rushed for time, here’s a voice that inspires me and calls me out every time I hear it.
“Abba Father, you must wonder why
More times than Peter I have denied…
Well, it’s time to get on my knees and pray
Lord undo me…”
A dangerous prayer to pray, but one I need to be more consistent in. If I’m being honest, my life could benefit from a big dose of God taking control and me letting go.
Meet the New Sassy…
What do you think? It’s orange. And black. And chic. I’m not sure.
Comment! Tell me! Help!
Do I need something a little more… Summery?
So, crazy me…
I’ve decided to post every day this month. This is my first post. Short, sweet. A highlights reel of things to come, if you will…
- Look for a new blog design coming asap
- I have exciting news on the textbook front, believe it or not
- Hilarious tales of visiting new churches and realizing why I love my current one so very much
- A wrap-up of the semester
- Goals for the summer
- Tales of packing and moving
